Oggetti che solo apparentemente non hanno valore...utensili d'altri tempi, veri pezzi di antiquariato come serrature ottocentesche, chiavistelli e chiodi antichi, vecchi scuri e mobili in disuso ritrovano nuova vita in accostamenti di materiali e forme inedite e creative...
La forte passione “Vecchiamaniere” per il legno e il fascino di oggetti che rievocano una storia senza tempo si fondono grazie ad una moderna voglia di espressione artistica libera e vitale.

Objects that apparently have no value…antique tools, real antiques such as locks and rusty nails, dusty pieces of wooden barrels, obsolete shutters are originally arranged and still alive thanks to a pure love for the antique and handicraft.The “Vecchiemaniere” strong passion for wood and for the allure of antiques, telling a story that never fades, are held together through a modern, free and vital artistic expression.

Osservare un oggetto, comune sì, ma che raramente ci troviamo tra le mani, un antico chiavistello; vedere che la forma di un pezzo di legno che abbiamo conservato per l’occasione, si adatta proprio perfettamente alla sua forma; quella forma, su quel legno, sembra un naso, un lungo naso proboscidato…allora, molto naturalmente, cerchiamo qualcosa che possa adattarsi a rappresentare due occhi, poi la bocca, e…notare che quella vecchissima falce, lasciata nel più profondo dei dimenticatoi può servire a dare forma alla testa, sono due corna!

La figura che abbiamo ottenuto è un essere strano, primordiale, animalesco, sembra la stilizzazione di una maschera africana, ma l’assemblaggio dei vari elementi ha una sua armonia, è originale…ed anche…UTILE!

La proboscide può essere infatti usata come appendino!

An antique bolt: look at this object that rarely is in our hands, observe it; realize that its shape perfectly suits to the shape of a piece of wood we collected a long time ago; that shape, positioned on that wood, looks like a nose, a long proboscidean nose…so…naturally start looking for something that can be used as if it was two eyes, then the mouth…then realize that that very old scythe can give a different aspect to the head of this strange being that has born through our creativity…it’s two horns!
The “Strange Being” we have created looks very primitive, animal, mostly the stylisation of an African masque, but the arrangement of the various elements has its own harmony, it’s original and also…FUNCTIONAL!

The proboscides can be used as a hanger!
